Now in its 14th year, the 2020 All Ireland Community and Council Awards presented by IPB Insurance and LAMA took place on Saturday 15th, February 2020 in Croke Park Stadium. These awards recognised and celebrated community and councils working together. They provide a great opportunity to highlight and celebrate the work done within our communities, to reward our unsung heroes and recognise the phenomenal contribution they’ve made to our lives.

Access and Inclusion
This category recognises organisations and individuals within a community who promote disability inclusion as a human right and contribute to the accessibility of people with disabilities in sport, physical activity, and community life.

  •  Tell us about the organisation/individual – What are the objectives, goals, and outcomes (30%)
  • Outline the project or idea (35%)
  • How has the organisation/individual raised awareness of the opportunities and challenges that face those with disabilities – provide insights and innovative ideas to develop workable solutions (35%)

‘Working to make County Kildare Inclusive & Accessible to all’

CKAN won the top prize (Grand Prix) of all the 31 Local Authorities entered with the highest awarded points nominated.
